Citizen report cards

Citizen Report Cards (CRC) are among the most widely-known and commonly-practiced social accountability tools.

Here, we will define the tool, describe the basic techniques involved in successfully planning and implementing it, and discuss some of its strengths and limitations. We’ll walk you through the seven key stages of a citizen report card and will describe some of the outcomes that could be generated as a result. Cases from Africa, South Asia, and the East Asia Pacific region will be used to illustrate these concepts.
