Unit 6: Management Of Training

Unit 6 introduces the managerial aspect of training. Managing the administrative and logistical tasks should be viewed as an integral aspect of any training programme, as neglect of these elements risks disrupting the whole training. In this Unit, the management process is outlined, taking a holistic approach incorporating responsibilities to be considered before, during and after the training. As the management of trainer teams is a crucial aspect of any training initiative, the norms guiding the effective functioning of trainer teams are analysed. Special attention is paid to advantages and disadvantages of different forms of trainer teams, and how to manage external resource persons effectively. Upon completion of this Unit, you will understand:
